The Bespoke Atelier

Custom gourd work begins with the right conversation.

Custom orders are best when the idea fits the material. We can discuss carving, burning, painting, rope choices, symbols, size direction, and gift purpose before deciding whether the request is practical.

01

Words and dates

Names, short phrases, dates, or initials work best when they stay concise and balanced with the gourd shape.

02

Symbols and motifs

Plants, landscapes, cultural motifs, and personal symbols can be discussed before production.

03

Carving and burning

These techniques add depth, but they also require more time and clearer approval before work begins.

04

Gift direction

Tell us who the piece is for, the occasion, and whether it should feel quiet, ceremonial, rustic, or ornate.

Pyrography

Drawing with controlled heat.

Burned lines are permanent and expressive. This route suits symbolic imagery, stronger contrast, and pieces meant to feel more graphic.

Carving

Texture shaped by hand.

Carving changes how the surface catches light and feels in the hand. It is slower, more limited, and better for focused designs.

Step 01

Send your idea before payment.

Include reference images, intended use, country, size preference, deadline, and the emotional direction you want. We will tell you what is realistic.

Step 02

We confirm scope, timing, and price.

Custom work varies by difficulty. A simple text request is different from detailed carving, painting, or a fully new composition.

Step 03

Production starts after agreement.

Because custom work is made for one buyer, it is final sale after approval unless it arrives damaged or materially different from the agreed request.

Start with a simple message.

Send your idea, timeline, destination country, and any reference images. If the request is not a good fit, we will say so directly.
