What makes your lacquer gourd kettles different from ordinary water bottles?
Our kettles are handcrafted from natural gourds and coated with plant-based lacquer, a traditional Chinese craft with a history of thousands of years. Each piece is unique (no two are exactly the same!), and the lacquer layer is smooth, antibacterial, and lightweight—blending Eastern aesthetics with daily practicality.
Are all lacquer gourd kettles handmade?
Yes! Every gourd is carefully selected, shaped, and coated with lacquer layer by layer by our master craftsmen. The whole process takes 2-4 weeks, ensuring the highest quality and craftsmanship.
What is plant-based lacquer? Is it safe for daily use?
Plant-based lacquer is extracted from the lacquer tree, a natural material without harmful chemicals. Our lacquer is cured naturally, making it food-safe and non-toxic for holding water, tea, and other beverages.

What temperature of liquid can the lacquer gourd hold?
We recommend using liquids below 85°C (185°F). Avoid pouring 100°C boiling water directly, as it may damage the lacquer layer and gourd structure. An occasional accidental use is harmless, but long-term use with boiling water will shorten its service life.
How to clean the inside of the gourd kettle? Is it easy to maintain?
The smooth plant-based lacquer inner wall is antibacterial and not easy to absorb water stains. Just rinse it with warm water after use and air dry naturally. Do not use hard brushes or harsh detergents, as they may scratch the lacquer layer. Soft sponges are acceptable!
Can I put the lacquer gourd in the refrigerator or microwave?
No. The natural gourd and lacquer layer are sensitive to extreme temperatures. Storing it at room temperature is the best way to protect your piece.
How long can a lacquer gourd kettle last with proper care?
With regular use and proper maintenance, your handcrafted gourd can last for several years. The plant-based lacquer will even develop a unique patina over time, making it more precious!

Yes! We offer personalized customization services, including hand-painting traditional designs (such as figures, text, lotus flowers, etc.) or engraving, coloring, and pyrography. Custom orders take 2-6 weeks to complete—the perfect choice for creating a unique gift!
How long does shipping take, and do you ship worldwide?
We ship to over 150 countries/regions worldwide. Standard shipping takes 7-20 business days, and expedited shipping (5-14 business days) is available for most major countries. You will receive a tracking number once your order is shipped.
What is your return and exchange policy?
If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we will offer a full refund or free replacement. For non-quality issues, returns are accepted within 30 days (customer bears the return shipping fee). Customized products are non-returnable unless defective.

Yes! It’s suitable for most non-acidic beverages (tea, lemon water, etc.). We do not recommend holding strong acidic drinks (e.g., vinegar, concentrated fruit juice) for long periods, as they may affect the lacquer layer.
